A special mention to Maudrina who made us a delicious dinner one night and is always so warm and friendly. Liz is always accommodating and quick to respond to emails - she booked several things for us, often last minute.

Mrs. Elizabeth was very nice and helpful, with suggestions on places to eat, booking excursions and booking a COVID test before we left. The house keeper Maudrina was also very sweet and adorable.

The housekeeper, Maudrina, was also lovely – always kind, kept us tidy, great with recommendations, and an amazing cook of local dishes. Liz also provided a recommended driver for the week, Roger, who was reliable, professional, and a great guide to the island. We booked amazing excursions for snorkeling and sailing on a catamaran, ziplining through the jungle, and a guided hike to the Pillars of Hercules, each time using Liz’s recommended vendors. We already can’t wait to go back and stay at the Ocean House again!

From property manager Miss Kat to the wonderful house manager Miss Maudrina (you simply must have her cook a dinner for you, wow!) we received top-notch service every day. We hired the "house driver" Sir Roger to drive us around for the entire trip and we felt safe and secure with his services. You should check out beachfront restaurants Salt Plague and Jacqui O's for a nice eat and lounge on the beach experience. All in all, you cannot go wrong staying at Alex's villa during your Antigua visit. I WILL be back! 🙂

  After being one of the very first visitors in 2016, this was my second visit to the Ocean House but this time with a different group of friends and we... read more weren't disappointed.

This family run villa is amazing with the most incredible sea view and sunset. There's even a family of pelicans nearby that you can see fishing several times a day. The four en-suite bedrooms are well sized especially the very spacious master bedroom. Along with the rest of the villa, it's very well kitted out.

The photos on Airbnb in no way do them justice ... it's so much better in reality! The infinity pool is fantastic especially at night when the lights are switched on. It has a depth of 4' 10" so it's safe even for novice or non-swimmers.

What made our stay extra special was the hospitality of Liz (site manager) and Maudrina (maid). Liz was more than happy to help us find the right places to eat and even made the reservations for us. Maudrina cooked us a lovely traditional Caribbean meal (extra charge) and she's so friendly.

Antigua's a very small island so it's easy to get around (hire a car). The Ocean House is in the very north but you can get to Shirley HeightsEnglish Harbour in the south in a little under an hour. Dickenson Bay is the closest big beach but I recommend you go to the beach at the back of Beachlimerz. This is a restaurant with a very small and private beach behind it and it's only a 15 minute drive from the villa. The Cedar Valley Golf Course and Zip Line is also a short drive both of which we did and are recommended along with a Catamaran (book Cool Cat in Jolly Harbour).

Antigua are doing very well with the Covid threat - the airport checks are very stringent and everyone in public are wearing masks and sanitizing ... it's extremely safe.

Overall, the Ocean House makes for a great party venue and you won't be disappointed if you booked to stay here. All of our group had an amazing time and I know I'll be coming back for a third visit.

  I initially got a little nervous when I couldn't find the address on (Hidden by Airbnb) maps since I have been scammed before and the pictures looked a little too... read more perfect. But Liz sent great directions and she met us at the beautiful home and walked us through. First time doing that for an airbnb but that was a testiment to how warm and welcoming Liz was. She gave us great tips and answered all my emails and random questions quickly.
The pictures do not do the place justice. Truly Paradise! Maudrina was so delightful and was there to maintain the home and make our vacation that much more relaxing! The living room and kitchen was a little warm since it only had ceiling fans but walking into the bedroom with the great a/c was heavenly and that bed in the masters bedroom was heavenly as well. It just forced us to relax poolside more!
The pool was everything! Always warmer than I expected it to be. We were able to take late night dips since it was lit!!
There is a security system but we never used it, we felt very safe!

It's perfect in every way. The home and interior is very comfortable, immaculately clean, and well appointed. The outside is perfect for lounging, eating, and staring at a view you can't beat! The pool was great, the perfect temperature, and the dock was a great spot to watch the sunset each day.

We were met by Maudrina and Liz when we arrived to the house. Maudrina cooked us a delicious chicken dinner and Liz showed us around the house and suggested things for us to do. Both were extremely warm and lovely with our 2 young children. We saw Maudrina every day, she was so helpful and pleasant to be around -yet never imposed. Both checked in to make sure we had everything we needed during our stay. The service was excellent.

This was our first experience with Airbnb, and the bar has been set extremely high! We plan to come back to this house many more times. Everything far exceeded our expectations, thank you for the most wonderful place to call home for the week! We'll be back soon!

She had a Christmas tree set up and decorated for us for the holiday and helped us organize a private chef which turned out to be our favorite meal on the island.
